Learn about the RIGHT Care program, a community partnership between the fire department, police department, and social workers using new techniques to solve
old problems
The Dallas Founder Lions Club is proud to welcome Michael Lamm of Dallas Fire and Rescue as our guest speaker for the July 18 club meeting. Michael began his career with the department in 2011, serving in several critical roles including firefighter and ambulance driver, delivering emergency care across the city. Since 2022, he has worked as part of a team that brings a collaborative approach to mental health emergencies, combining the efforts of a firefighter, a police officer, and a social worker to respond directly to community needs.
Michael will share insights from his work in the field, how his team supports Dallas residents in crisis, and the evolving role of first responders in our city. His perspective adds to a growing
conversation around public safety, mental health, and coordinated response. We are excited to hear from someone serving Dallas every day with commitment and care.
Our club continues a proud tradition of welcoming local leaders to speak with our members. Just this year, we have hosted conversations with Dallas ISD Superintendent Dr. Stephanie Elizalde, El Centro President Dr. Bradford Williams, DISD Trustee Joe Carreon, Dallas County Treasurer Pauline Medrano,
Judge Audrey Moorehead, and historian Sol Villasana. Our club has also welcomed civic voices like Omar Narvaez, Adam Medrano, and community partners from Downtown Dallas Inc. and the Japan America Society of DFW.
These conversations help us stay connected to the broader issues shaping Dallas while continuing our mission of service, outreach, and community building. Founded in 1916 and meeting just steps from where Lions Clubs International was formed in 1917, we are proud to carry forward
a legacy of impact in the heart of our city.
