We’re still riding the high from an incredible day at Lions University 2025, where Dallas Founder Lions Club showed up in full force. The training brought together Lions from across District 2-X1, and we were proud to have our largest group of officers and members attend yet.

It was a day packed with insight, laughter, new ideas, and connection. For our club, it was another sign of the momentum we’re building. From long-time Lions to newly elected officers, everyone left the training energized and ready to lead with purpose.

What the day looked like
Lions University is our district’s signature officer and leadership training. It’s built to help Lions step confidently into their club roles and get the tools they need to lead, serve, and grow. The breakout sessions were tailored to a wide range of club positions, including: club president and vice presidents;
secretary and treasurer; service chair, membership chair, marketing chair, LCIF coordinator.

Workshops covered how to lead effective meetings, grow club membership, strengthen communications, and plan meaningful service projects. Whether someone was new to their role or had years of experience, each session gave fresh ideas and practical ways to strengthen their club.

Commitment to member leadership development

What makes Lions Clubs International so unique is its deep commitment tohelping members grow as leaders. Events like Lions University offer real-world skills that go beyond club life. These include project planning, public speaking, volunteer coordination, and community outreach. They are skills that help our members grow not just in Lions, but in their personal, professional, and civic lives too.
